Upstairs at Ronnie’s

I’m delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for my debut performance at Ronnie Scott’s, alongside pianist Patrick Milne, on Monday 27th July. We will be giving two recitals (6.20pm & 9.30pm) in the newly refurbished space ‘Upstairs at Ronnie’s’ as part of their Classical series. Our programme will include music by George Gershwin and Florence Price as well as more contemporary works by Barry Mills and Pete Walton. We are so excited to perform in this iconic, intimate venue and it would be great to see you there!

Connection: One Year On

On 25th April 2025 I released my debut solo album Connection. Since then my recordings have been played numerous times on BBC Radio 3 and I’ve performed many of the featured pieces live in concerts across the UK.

My aim was for more trumpeters to know and play the pieces on this album and to forge new connections with performers & audiences around the world. With almost 40,000 views on Instagram of Andy Scott’s And Everything Is Still, and downloads from 14 countries across 5 continents of O Waly Waly (arranged & gifted as a free PDF by my Dad, Simon Hancock), I feel I have truly achieved this goal.

Creating this album was a huge undertaking and I learned so much in the process. It is a joy to reflect on the result, which I’m so proud of, one year on!

To Stay Open - PDF Now Available

To celebrate the anniversary of my album release, I’m pleased to announce that the sheet music for the opening track - To Stay Open by Charlotte Harding - has been published by Faber Alt. and is now available to buy. This beautiful work for solo flugelhorn was commissioned with support from the Vaughan Williams Foundation and perfectly sets the tone for the whole album.
